I enjoyed Tristan and Stephanie’s story. They are the classic high school sweethearts in every sense of the word. Best friends. Madly in love. Too young to marry when they did.

I liked that the struggle between them was real. It was understandable that it was difficult for them to make it the first time around because they weren’t equipped to deal with their problems. It was also maddening because they just WOULD NOT TALK to each other! There was a lot of good emotion during their separation and time apart and in my opinion it was probably the best part of the book.

I didn’t like that a lot of the story just seemed to drag. It wasn’t a bad story but at times it just felt very, very long. The only other thing that I didn’t really enjoy was the extra drama at the end. It was unnecessary, I thought, and kind of took me out of these two getting their happily ever after.

Overall, Speared By You was a good story. Incredibly emotional and multi-faceted with layers that enhanced the love and the drama.
