Cade and Iris’ story is a wonderful and twisty journey that starts in childhood and I love a good friends-to-lovers romance. This one however (and thankfully) doesn’t start in childhood or even their teen years, though we do get a glimpse into the early stages of this blooming love story.

Cade is Iris’ brother’s best friend but for many years he was also her best friend and you can really feel that when they enter each other’s lives again as adults. There isn’t a lot of proclaiming to be best friends, but the evidence is there in nicknames, memories and shared inside jokes.

The surprise virgin twist was sweet and totally unexpected, but like any virgin once the proverbial dam broke, it was all systems go. All. The. Time.

I had a good time reading this story and I loved the best friend and brother, Beckett. He’s charming but surprisingly insightful and I’m looking forward to reading his story next.
