Nick & Skye are wonderful together. He’s one of the hottest bachelors in the city and suddenly a single dad while she is a single mom just trying to make it from one day to the next. When they meet, sparks fly. There’s an instant connection because of course there is, but what I appreciated was that they both behaved like adults about it. Sure we could just jump in bed and worry about the rest later but it was a nice bit of slow burn and lots of will-they/won’t-they before they finally give in.

Nick’s life story is truly interesting and incredible, setting up a sexy hero who does the right thing even if it’s not the easy thing. It’s an admirable quality and I totally get why Skye has such a difficult time resisting him.

This was a romance in every sense of the word but it was different. These two became a family before they even knew what they were doing, which is kind of funny and a bit adorable. They were also incredibly stubborn which made their journey to love harder than it had to be, but also a lot more entertaining. There were tears and shivers, smiles and okay maybe a couple more tears.

Heartsick & Lipsticks was a roller coaster of a ride but I enjoyed every dip, every twist and turn right until the very end.
