I wasn’t sure at first about Tess & Jasper. The premise was intriguing but I thought it would be a lot more hate up front, and it wasn’t. They had good chemistry from the beginning even though they bickered. A lot. Tess didn’t put up with Jasper’s entitled ways or rather, she did but she didn’t bite her tongue which I appreciated.

There was a lot of fun in this story with the movie set and the ex that made Jasper the man he is today. As Tess gets to know the real Jasper she finds out that the night that changed her life forever really was just a bad night for him.

The tension of when and how Jasper would find out about their past kept me on edge and swiping to page after page because even the reader doesn’t know what he did. It’s a nice touch of organic tension that doesn’t require poor communication or manufactured drama and I’m a big fan of that.

Overall I really enjoyed this story and I liked both characters, flaws and all.
