NEW RELEASE! ~ Weather the Storm by LK Farlow

Title: Weather the Storm
Series: The Southern Roots Series
Author: LK Farlow
Genre: NA/Contemporary Romance
Release Date: April 26, 2018

Allyson – “I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again.. Kate’s books just keep getting better! This is her best book yet and I’m cannot wait to get more from her!”

Dani Fuselier – “I’m blown away by her talent and want everyone to read this amazing story.”

Joy Novel Thoughts – “Weather the Storm is L.K. Farlow’s best work yet! Simon and Magnolia stole my heart from the first page and never let go!”

Magnolia Ellington is all too aware that dangerous things can come in shiny packages. Her husband made sure to teach her that.

Desperate to escape his wrath—and his fists—she flees in the dark of night. Seeking safety and shelter with the only family she has left, Magnolia finds herself in the sleepy, Southern town of Dogwood—and in the arms of Simon McAllister.

Simon has always been more of a thinker than a doer. That changes the minute he meets shy and mysterious Magnolia. She has him rushing into action, ready and willing to do whatever it takes to earn her trust.

Slowly, with his steadfast determination and kind heart, Simon brings Magnolia out of her shell. But just as things start heating up between the two of them, the darkness of Magnolia’s past resurfaces, threatening to rip apart everything they’ve worked so hard for.

With their future hanging in the balance, Simon fears he’s losing Magnolia. Now, he must convince her that, together, they can weather the storm.
I jolt awake, momentarily disoriented by the rhythmic beeping coming from my right. Beep. Beep. Beep. Again and again, the sound causes my temples to throb. Even though my eyes are still pinched closed, I know this is not my room, and I am not in my bed. Without warning, the events that led me here flash through my mind: hitting Simon’s truck and the subsequent ambulance ride. I remember the CT scan, and being given pain medication. I must have fallen asleep shortly after that.

I inhale deeply, trying to get my bearings, and cringe at the smell of antiseptic hanging in the air. God, I hate hospitals.

Slowly, I try to blink my eyes open, only to immediately close them again. Whimpering at the brightness of the room, I sink farther into the small, firm mattress before steeling my resolve to try again.

I peel one lid open and hold it, adjusting, before peeling the other open as well. “So bright,” I whine to myself, squinting up at the light above me. My head feels like an entire drumline has taken it as their practice space; the thrumming and pounding is incessant.

With all the strength I can muster, I roll my head to face the far wall of the small hospital room, only to startle at the sight of the most gorgeous man I’ve ever laid eyes on sleeping in the chair in the corner, his light-brown hair messy, his chiseled jaw covered in stubble. “S-Simon?” I whisper, more to myself than to him.

All the same, he jolts like someone took a live wire to his skin. “You’re up?” He lunges from the chair toward me, gently taking my hand in his, scanning my body before bringing his deep-blue eyes to mine. “Are you—fuck, you have no idea how happy I am to see those baby-blue eyes right now. Let me call for your doctor.”

He starts to withdraw his hand from mine, and I let out the most pathetic whimper, halting him. “Don’t go,” I beg.

“Not going anywhere. Just gonna hit the call button,” he assures me, leaving me feeling foolish, even though that wasn’t his intention.
LK Farlow (A.K.A Kate) is a small town girl with a love for words. She’s been writing stories and poems for as long she can remember. A Southern girl through and through, Kate resides in beautiful, sunny LA—that’s Lower Alabama, y’all—with her amazing husband and three wonderful children. When she’s not writing, you can find her snuggled up on the couch watching nature documentaries while she crochets or with her nose in a book. All Kate really wants in this life is her family happy, strong coffee, a good book and more Happily Ever After’s.

Sometimes life is a dream you don’t want to wake up from . . .
The night Alison Lockhart walks in to Undisputed, she only wants to have a drink, celebrate a friend’s birthday, and forget about the newest guy her mother tried to set her up with. It’s why, when the infamous Jay “The Hurricane” Hamilton—one of the highest-ranking boxers at The Underground—labels her a ring rat, she writes him off as just another guy with an over-inflated ego.
Only she can’t stop thinking about him.
Or his steel-blue eyes.
Or the apology on his perfect lips.
Their fall is fast and hard, but when Alison’s ex shows up and Jay starts keeping secrets, will they be able to find their way out of the nightmare?

His body was a temple. A beautiful, perfect, glorious temple.

I felt Hollie nudge my arm, and when I looked at her, her brown eyes were dancing with amusement, and there was a shit-eating grin spread across her face. She leaned close. “Love, you have a little drool, right here,” she whispered, wiping the corner of her mouth.

I scoffed and rolled my eyes as Vince asked, “Ali, have you guys met yet?”

My and Jay’s eyes met, but as I opened my mouth to answer, he beat me to it. “Can’t say we have, I’m Jay—”

“Hamilton,” I said around the flips that invaded my stomach. “I know who you are, I’ve seen you fight.”

He scratched his jaw. “Oh yeah, is that so?”

“A few times actually.”

His chest shook with a half-laugh, his face smug and his eyes full of skepticism as his eyes flicked to my perfectly styled strawberry-blonde hair, my expensive-looking clothing, the diamond studs in my ears, and then back to my impeccably made-up face. “I somehow seriously doubt that.”

Hello, Mr. Ego.

I knew exactly what he was thinking: stuck-up little rich girl. That was just the part I played for my mother. It wasn’t who I was. To guys like him, there was no way a good-looking girl who looked like she came from money enjoyed watching sports or went to The Underground for any other reason than to pick up a guy.

I rolled my eyes and dismissed him by turning my attention to the hockey game that was on the television behind him. My team was up by two with fifteen minutes left to play, but no matter how much I tried to ignore him, I could feel him watching, waiting for me to say something that would out myself as being what he thought I was, a ring rat.

I made him wait a little longer before I sat taller and crossed my legs, my hands resting on my lap. “Jay ‘Hurricane’ Hamilton. You have one hundred and forty-eight wins, twenty-six—no, wait, sorry, twenty-eight knockouts. You are currently sitting second behind Delgado, who’s really giving you a run for his money, though, in my opinion you could and should be first.” The confidence oozed in my voice, thick and heavy with every word.

Everyone had turned to look at me, a few curious as to what was going on, but the people who knew me were all wearing grins. I wasn’t some pretty ring rat. When it came to most sports, I knew my shit, and I knew it well.

My love and knowledge of all things sports came courtesy of my dad. He was the one who made sure I learned everything I needed to know at a young age, and growing up having whatever free time we could carve out, we spent it in his office watching Sportsnet or going to whatever game he got us tickets for. It was the one thing that bonded us so closely together—something my mom hated, more than carbs.

Hollie chuckled beside me, and Derek let out a breath, saying, “Shit, now you’ve done it.”

The author of the Breathe Again and Blinded by Love series, both written under the pseudonym, Emma Grayson. If You Say So is my debut novel under A.R. Myles and my first standalone novel. I’m currently working on a few new novels as well as a new series, which is focused on single moms who are trying to make it in the dating world after being wronged by their loser exs.
Born and raised on the outskirts of Edmonton, Alberta, I reside in a small town with my family, my eleven-year-old son, and six cats. I love my romance with a twist of suspense, and when I’m not writing or reading or coming up with new plots, I spend most of my time binging all the shows on Netflix and drinking Starbucks coffee with my mom and best friends.

HAPPY RELEASE DAY!!! ~ Blaze by L. Wilder

Title: Blaze
Series: Satan’s Fury MC Memphis Chapter #1
Author: L. Wilder
Genre: MC Romance
Release Date: April 24, 2018
In Memphis, Tennessee, Satan’s Fury MC had become the most notorious MC in the city. That recognition hadn’t come easy. While people were visiting Graceland and walking down on Beale Street, my brothers and I were at war, fighting rival MCs and gangs who were trying to take control of our territory.

We had staked our claim, but when a new threat arrived, everything we had worked for would be put in jeopardy.

Kenadee Brooks was a nurse, trying to save lives and make a difference in the world. The moment I saw her, it wasn’t just her beauty that caught my eye. It was the light that burned deep inside of her that drew me in. I longed for it, and with each moment I spent with her, the more determined I became to make her mine.

But when she was pulled into my world, saw the life that I lived, would that light still burn bright or would it disappear forever?

As soon as we walked through the door, it was clear that a lot had gone into the renovations. I looked over to Sawyer and said, “Have you been here since they’ve changed everything?”
“A couple of times. Kevin likes to come look at the fish.”
“This is amazing.”
“I was hoping you might like it.”
We spent an hour or so just walking around looking at things and then he asked, “You ready to go up?”
“Sure.” He led me over to the elevator that took us up to the lookout deck. Once we made it up to the top, he reached for my hand and I followed him outside. We stepped out onto the deck, and the view was absolutely incredible. You could see the Mississippi River and all of downtown. “It’s beautiful. I can’t believe I’ve never done this before.”
He slipped his arm around my waist and said, “Not nearly as beautiful as you.”
I rolled my eyes as I said playfully, “Really? I didn’t think a stud like you would need to use a cheesy line like that.”
“I take offense to that.” He chuckled. “I wasn’t using some cheesy line. I was simply giving a compliment to a beautiful lady.”
“Um-hmm. If you say so.” I giggled.
He poked me in the side. “So, you think I’m a stud, huh?”
“You picked up on that one, did ya?”
“You’re the one who said it.” Just then, a surprisingly playful expression crossed his handsome face. “So, you think I’m a stud. I like that. My beauty thinks I’m a stud.”
Shaking my head, I started walking towards the door. “Okay, that’s enough of that.”
“Hey! Where ya going?”
“I’m hungry.” Hoping to distract him from the stud comment, I asked, “How about some lunch?”
“Yeah.” He smiled and patted his stomach. “This stud could go for something to eat.”
Trying to bite back a huge grin, I sighed and said, “Move it stud. This beauty is withering away. I must eat before I starve.

Series: Night Rebels MC
Author: Chiah Wilder
Genre: MC Romance (standalone)
Release Date: April 24, 2018
When Sangre, the tatted and built officer of the Night Rebels MC, agrees to be the bodyguard of Isla Rose, he has no idea what he’s in for. It’s just an ordinary gig: a bodyguard for a temperamental, difficult, diva who thinks a fan is out to get her.

Sangre doesn’t have time for drama and decides there’s no way he’s going to indulge the spoiled rock star. He’ll do his job and be out of there. Does he believe her? Not really. In his opinion the whole crazed fan scare is a ploy to garner more attention in the papers. But he isn’t there to analyze her, just play bodyguard until she goes back to LA.

But when he sees her on stage, the blue and red lights bouncing off her sequined jeans, he’s mesmerized. Then she starts to sing and her voice intoxicates and captivates him. The sound of her voice is thick and sweet like warm honey dripping over him.

In that moment he realizes this isn’t going to be any ordinary gig. He’s definitely screwed.

As he watches her, something familiar pulls him in. Something from his past….

Isla Rose’s life is spiraling out of control. She needs to relax and get away from all the hype.

So she runs away and finds a slice of peace in Alina, but it is short-lived. Creepy fan letters invade her peaceful oasis. At first she blows them off, but as they become more sinister, fear consumes her.

When she first lays eyes on her bodyguard, she can’t help but notice his tanned, muscled arms covered with wicked tattoos. The way women flock to him tells her he’s bad news.

A heartbreaker in a leather jacket.

She needs his protection and nothing more.

But she can’t stop him from invading her thoughts. The way he looks at her, she knows he wants to take her body then her soul.

And she hates to admit it, but she wants to give him her all. To make matters worse, he reminds her of someone from her past. Someone she yearned for in silence. Maybe she’s safer taking her chances with the creepy fan and forgetting all about the tattooed hunk who’s turning her life upside down. And that’s the last thing she needs right now.
Sangre a standalone book in the Night Rebels MC Romance series. If you like rough-around-the edges alpha men who play, fight , and love hard, then this book is for you. Steamy loving, feisty heroine, and one bad boy lover. No cheating. HEA. No cliffhangers! 18 +.

Chiah Wilder writes about rough, sexy men who know how to treat their women.

Always a lover of books, she began writing at a young age and continued through college with collections of short stories. Figuring she had to grow up and get a “real” job, her writing was placed on the back burner.

Her love of reading has always been center front in her life. Chiah’s love of bad boys both in and out of fiction has inspired her books. She loves an alpha male whose softer side is brought out by a passionate, spirited woman. In fiction there are no rules or boundaries, and fantasies can go as far as the characters want to take them. Steamy, romances with tough, sexy bad boys are her guilty pleasure along with brownies, cheddar cheese, and movie marathons.

Warrior Woman Winmill – “Full of danger and excitement”

Heather Lovelace – “What a fantastic continuation of the series”

As You Wish Reviews – “I was mesmerized by this book. Could not put it down until I could find out how it all ended. Must read!”

Magnus waited outside the cottage, anxious for Lexie. Vulnerable because he was cut off from her. Something had changed between them. The thoughts, emotions, and even the actions of the living left impressions in his head. In the beginning, he’d only connected with Lexie; now it appeared as if every person he encountered touched him in some beguiling way.

Confounded by what was happening, he went to the green water at the swamps’ edge along the side of the house. Raindrops created ripples on the stagnant water. Their concentric circles grew, intersecting in swells, releasing voices in their wake.

Magnus waited at the slimy green bank, attempting to make sense of the strange sounds. The cries of men, women, and children rose up and overwhelmed him.

“Save us!” a woman shrieked.

“Please, help me. I want to be free,” a man’s husky voice entreated.

“Take me away from this hell,” a high-pitched wail begged.

The voices built around him, crowding his ears, imploring him to rescue their tormented souls. He had never heard such noises from anyone.

A vision of his Frannie hurtling over the cliff’s edge at Altmover Manor replayed in his head. The sound she made as she toppled to the rocks below resembled the pitiful cries of the spirits around him. Magnus closed his eyes, disgusted by the memory.

When his eyes opened, he scampered backward. In the boggy water, hundreds of bodies floated in various stages of decomposition. Arms, hands, legs, and torsos bobbed on the surface. The woman in black he’d seen with Lexie stood at the water’s edge, calling to the dead to wake from their soggy tombs.

Horrified by the agony he saw on their contorted faces, Magnus wanted to obliterate the vision by returning to his shadowy realm, but he couldn’t tear himself away. The images of body parts and broken souls held him captive as bitter waves of anger and anguish rolled off the water.

“Your master’s in danger.”

Magnus spun around.

A little girl in a long white nightgown trimmed in yellow ribbon stood next to him. Down the front, a stain of burnt red went all the way to her bare feet. She held a dirty teddy bear in her arms, but when she peered up at him, a gaping wound across her throat exposed the bone underneath.

Magnus didn’t know if he could believe the phantom before him. Spirits had never reached out to him before. This was Lexie’s realm. Why did he suddenly have her gift?

“Are you real?”

“Yes, sir. Very real, just like you.”

He knelt down beside the child. “What is your name?”

“Mattie. I died in the swamp when I was six. The mistress has enslaved my soul to do her bidding.”

He touched the nose of the teddy bear in her arms. His fingers passed through the toy. “What mistress?”

“The Lady La Fay. The one who called your master to her side.”

Magnus examined her gray skin and sunken eyes. “I don’t have a master.”

She pointed to the porch steps of the cottage. “You’re bound to the woman who went inside. She’s your master and the one who controls your fate. We are all bound to those who work the dark realm. You’ll see.”

Magnus was about to question the child when her eyes went black and rolled back into her head.

Her mouth opened, and her lips stretched, expanding painfully beyond her chin and cheeks. The gaping, black hole spread and almost split her face in two. It covered her entire face, leaving only her flowing brown hair untouched.

Alarmed, he stood up. Then the child dropped the teddy bear and held her arms out to her sides.

He searched the swamps for an escape. He found the souls in the water, their dismembered bodies rising from the surface, coming toward him. A parade of legs, arms, torsos, and heads covered with algae and muck approached his spot on the shore.

He faced the girl, her toes floating above the boggy ground.

A soulless, wretched cackle came from the blackness covering her face.

“Welcome, Magnus Blackwell,” a woman’s whiny voice echoed from the darkness. “Welcome to my world.”
