Best Of My Love: LIVE!!!

What a great day! Writing a novel is always a process and sometimes that process goes so smoothly you’re sure that you must  have missed something, left out a key story element or accidentally deleted a chapter.

Then there’s how 2017 has been for me. Busy. Insane. Filled with surprises, both good and bad. Even though I have spent the past few months freaking out that the world of romance readers might forget me if I didn’t get Best Of My Love completed and out into the ether. But I also allowed myself to take my time and make it as good as it can be without those pesky errors that make reading difficult.

The story of Dre and Erick came to me a while ago, while I was writing Feels Like Love but it was kind of emotional so it took me some time to really dig in and get these characters right. Especially Dre who is, acerbic and sarcastic. She has a sharp tongue and she’d not afraid to use it when necessary. But she’s also pretty damn scarred and terrified to trust in love again.

In case you haven’t been by lately, here’s the blurb!

My name is Andrea Larson but everyone calls me Dre.
After college I was supposed to return to my hometown of Emerald Creek and set up an online travel business with my high school sweetheart.
Then he knocked up someone else and those plans went to sh*t.
I moved on, sold my website for a ton of money and moved to California.
My life, my business is a success by any measure of the word.
Then I got the call. My best friend needed me.
In Emerald Creek.
I haven’t seen Erick in a decade, maybe more.
Now we’re in the same town where we fell in love and avoiding him isn’t possible.

My name is Erick but everyone knows me by my restaurant name, Maverick
Divorce and a single dad, I don’t date much.
My life is my baby girl and Maverick’s.
And then Dre comes back to town.
Summer in Emerald Creek would be the perfect chance to make her love me again.

If I can get her to talk to me.
