Leighton Wellington has it all. Born with a silver spoon and a career mapped for success, he can’t fail. But Leighton dreams of ditching everything for a life of rock and roll. A little eavesdropping and a tiny bit of blackmail scores him the role as drummer for rock sensation Three Ugly Guys. The gig couldn’t get any sweeter.
That is, until the gorgeous, innocent assistant joins the tour.
Opal Evans can’t escape her past, but she can run from the small town she’s called home. In a group of rock stars, she discovers an idea of family she’s never known. But the secrets she must guard could break even the strongest of wills—especially with how paparazzi circle like vultures.
In Leighton she recognizes a kindred spirit, as well as someone willing to bend the rules. But as things spin out of control her relationship with Leighton could hinder his newfound fame. Can she keep things casual when her heart screams for more?
Hinder is the third book in the Off Track Records novels, and can be read as a standalone.

Stage lights illuminate the band at the bridge of the chorus and my gaze immediately draws to Austin. He’s hard not to watch. My Lord, the way his fingers run up and down those steel strings floods heat to my skin. His long fingers move with skill and a practiced precision that causes me to squeeze my thighs together. My mind conjures all the illicit ways he’s no doubt able to use those fingers. Dirty visions only skyrocket the moment he steps up to a mic and joins in to sing backup vocals. Rock stars? Sexy. But a rock star who also sings? Guard my ovaries, because right now if he asked, I’d so have his babies.
You’re going to hell.
Shame washes over me, and guilt instantly replaces my naughty thoughts. I shouldn’t objectify him. He’s working. This is his career. I force my eyes not to follow as Austin struts toward the edge of the stage and screaming fans. At the crash of a cymbal, I glance back to Leighton.
My skin prickles with a rush of awareness as I study the changes to his appearance. Gone is the clean-cut boy. He still looks like a model, but with the black eyeliner and tussled dark hair—the ends practically begging to be touched—he is every bit the rock god he plays on stage. A pang of longing and lust flood my veins.
I’d have his babies, too.
What is wrong with me? I spend one day on this tour and I’m ready to throw my virginity out the window? How am I going to survive an entire summer of this? I need more than a PA job to keep me distracted.
Kacey Shea is a mom of three, wife, and indie author who resides in sunny Arizona. She enjoys reading and writing romance novels as much as her son loves unicorns, which is a lot.
When she’s not writing you will find her playing taxi cab to her children while belting out her favorite tunes, meeting friends or family for food and to share some laughs, or sweating it out in the gym. Kacey finds that picking up heavy weights repeatedly is good for her mental health as much as it is for the physical.
She has an unhealthy obsession with firefighters. It could be the pants. It could be the fire. It’s just hot. On occasion she has been known to include them, without their knowledge, in her selfies outside the grocery store.
Kacey one day aspires to be a woman hand model in a sexy photo shoot. You know, the woman’s hand raking across the muscular back or six pack stomach of the male fitness model. Yep, that hand.
Until that day comes she will continue writing sexy, flirty romance novels in hopes to bring others joy!
