BOOK TOUR!! ~ Twist by KC Enders

Title: Twist
Series: Beekman Hills #1.5 (can be standalone)
Author: KC Enders
Genre: Contemporary Romance, Rom Com
Release Date: April 25, 2018
Fun. Flirty. And no follow through.
FINN O’MEARA has a slick one-liner for every occasion and loves to talk a big game. Tending bar at McBride’s Public House gives him plenty of opportunities to meet the ladies—to take them home and show them a good time. He’s so talented with his tongue, they don’t seem to mind that he never takes it past third base.
ADELAIDE HUNTINGTON is infinitely more comfortable with her PC than her peers. She prefers to work from the comfort of her overstuffed chair doing what she loves: graphic and web design. Only occasionally hanging out with her surrogate grandmas until an infuriating, silver tongued man charms his way in.
While he’s trying hard to prove there’s more to him than cheesy pick-up lines, Adelaide uncovers another layer to Finn.

A twist that no one would ever imagine.

Twist was a really fun read that quickly pulled me in and had me in turns laughing and rolling my eyes. Finn and his #finnisms were too much! He was so over the top, so charming and hilarious that I just couldn’t even with him. Adelaide was an introvert and her inner monologue at times was hilarious. When they got together, the back and forth was really entertaining.

I really loved those meddling grandmas! Those old gals were a hoot and a half, making Twist a fun romantic comedy that’ll have you eager for the next one.

BOOK REVIEW! ~ Bride for Keeps by Nicole Helm

ABOUT:

They all said it wouldn’t last….

Sierra McArthur never could have imagined they were right, but ever since her husband’s world was rocked by a family secret, it’s clear that their happily ever after isn’t to be. But one last night of passion with her husband creates a lasting consequence neither of them planned on….

Or is it?

Carter McArthur doesn’t want a divorce. But he doesn’t know how to fix all the mistakes he’s made in the wake of his family’s betrayal. But when a surprise pregnancy gives them one last chance at forever, Carter is determined to make her understand, she’s not his bride by accident. She’s his bride for keeps.

Bride for Keeps is the story of Sierra and Carter, two people who couldn’t be more different but love each other anyway. Unlike your typical romance stories, Nicole Helm starts us in the middle of Carter and Sierra’s first year of marriage and it’s already breaking down. Carter receives some unsettling news about himself and he does not handle it well. At all. He withdraws instead of talking to his wife, closing in on himself until she has no choice but to walk away. This book is the story of these two people trying to find their way back to each other and all the growing pains that come with that kind of maturity.

What I loved about Bride for Keeps is pretty much everything, but Nicole Helm did such a fantastic job of infusing emotion into this story. You can feel the desperation, the fear, the resignation and the anger the characters are feeling. I loved how Carter was able to admit he was wrong and was the one working hard to win his wife back because he was wrong and at first I really didn’t like him, acting like he had no idea why the relationship failed. But the more I learned about both characters the more I could see their flaws. I just wish that at one point Sierra would have called him out about keeping so many big secrets from her.

Bride for Keeps is a really good story. Emotional and beautiful and sweet. If not for the quality of the story, I might complain about the need for more dialogue, but honestly it didn’t take away from the story one bit.

One nipple. A world of problems.

I own the runway. Until my nipple pops out of my dress during New York Fashion Week and it suddenly owns me. Being called a worthless gutter slut by a fuming designer is the least of my problems. My career is swirling around the toilet like the other models’ lunches. Until smoking hot Tate Decker steps in with a crazy idea about how his magazine can maybe salvage my livelihood.

It’s less than two feet in front of me. Perfect and perky and pink. And the woman it’s attached to looks absolutely horrified. I need to help her, and not just because she’s beautiful and has a perfect rack. Using my position in the industry to expose the volatile nature of our business puts my career in jeopardy in an attempt to save Riley’s. I’m willing to risk that, but falling for her isn’t part of the plan.

When love and tits are involved…
Things can get slippery.

***Nipslip is the second book in the Slip Series but it is a stand-alone***

Gwyn McNamee is an attorney, writer, wife, and mother (to one human baby and two fur babies). Originally from the Midwest, Gwyn relocated to her husband’s home town of Las Vegas in 2015 and is enjoying her respite from the cold and snow. Gwyn has been writing down her crazy stories and ideas for years and finally decided to share them with the world. She loves to write stories with a bit of suspense and action mingled with romance and heat.

When she isn’t either writing or voraciously devouring any books she can get her hands on, Gwyn is busy adding to her tattoo collection, golfing, and stirring up trouble with her perfect mix of sweetness and sarcasm (usually while wearing heels). An admitted shoe whore, Gwyn’s closet rivals Carrie Bradshaw’s and is constantly expanding.

Gwyn’s debut novel, Savage Collision, the first book in The Hawke Family Series, was a 2017 Romance Writers of America Passionate Plumes Contest Finalist.

NEW RELEASE! ~ Weather the Storm by LK Farlow

Title: Weather the Storm
Series: The Southern Roots Series
Author: LK Farlow
Genre: NA/Contemporary Romance
Release Date: April 26, 2018

Allyson – “I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again.. Kate’s books just keep getting better! This is her best book yet and I’m cannot wait to get more from her!”

Dani Fuselier – “I’m blown away by her talent and want everyone to read this amazing story.”

Joy Novel Thoughts – “Weather the Storm is L.K. Farlow’s best work yet! Simon and Magnolia stole my heart from the first page and never let go!”

Magnolia Ellington is all too aware that dangerous things can come in shiny packages. Her husband made sure to teach her that.

Desperate to escape his wrath—and his fists—she flees in the dark of night. Seeking safety and shelter with the only family she has left, Magnolia finds herself in the sleepy, Southern town of Dogwood—and in the arms of Simon McAllister.

Simon has always been more of a thinker than a doer. That changes the minute he meets shy and mysterious Magnolia. She has him rushing into action, ready and willing to do whatever it takes to earn her trust.

Slowly, with his steadfast determination and kind heart, Simon brings Magnolia out of her shell. But just as things start heating up between the two of them, the darkness of Magnolia’s past resurfaces, threatening to rip apart everything they’ve worked so hard for.

With their future hanging in the balance, Simon fears he’s losing Magnolia. Now, he must convince her that, together, they can weather the storm.
I jolt awake, momentarily disoriented by the rhythmic beeping coming from my right. Beep. Beep. Beep. Again and again, the sound causes my temples to throb. Even though my eyes are still pinched closed, I know this is not my room, and I am not in my bed. Without warning, the events that led me here flash through my mind: hitting Simon’s truck and the subsequent ambulance ride. I remember the CT scan, and being given pain medication. I must have fallen asleep shortly after that.

I inhale deeply, trying to get my bearings, and cringe at the smell of antiseptic hanging in the air. God, I hate hospitals.

Slowly, I try to blink my eyes open, only to immediately close them again. Whimpering at the brightness of the room, I sink farther into the small, firm mattress before steeling my resolve to try again.

I peel one lid open and hold it, adjusting, before peeling the other open as well. “So bright,” I whine to myself, squinting up at the light above me. My head feels like an entire drumline has taken it as their practice space; the thrumming and pounding is incessant.

With all the strength I can muster, I roll my head to face the far wall of the small hospital room, only to startle at the sight of the most gorgeous man I’ve ever laid eyes on sleeping in the chair in the corner, his light-brown hair messy, his chiseled jaw covered in stubble. “S-Simon?” I whisper, more to myself than to him.

All the same, he jolts like someone took a live wire to his skin. “You’re up?” He lunges from the chair toward me, gently taking my hand in his, scanning my body before bringing his deep-blue eyes to mine. “Are you—fuck, you have no idea how happy I am to see those baby-blue eyes right now. Let me call for your doctor.”

He starts to withdraw his hand from mine, and I let out the most pathetic whimper, halting him. “Don’t go,” I beg.

“Not going anywhere. Just gonna hit the call button,” he assures me, leaving me feeling foolish, even though that wasn’t his intention.
LK Farlow (A.K.A Kate) is a small town girl with a love for words. She’s been writing stories and poems for as long she can remember. A Southern girl through and through, Kate resides in beautiful, sunny LA—that’s Lower Alabama, y’all—with her amazing husband and three wonderful children. When she’s not writing, you can find her snuggled up on the couch watching nature documentaries while she crochets or with her nose in a book. All Kate really wants in this life is her family happy, strong coffee, a good book and more Happily Ever After’s.

Sometimes life is a dream you don’t want to wake up from . . .
The night Alison Lockhart walks in to Undisputed, she only wants to have a drink, celebrate a friend’s birthday, and forget about the newest guy her mother tried to set her up with. It’s why, when the infamous Jay “The Hurricane” Hamilton—one of the highest-ranking boxers at The Underground—labels her a ring rat, she writes him off as just another guy with an over-inflated ego.
Only she can’t stop thinking about him.
Or his steel-blue eyes.
Or the apology on his perfect lips.
Their fall is fast and hard, but when Alison’s ex shows up and Jay starts keeping secrets, will they be able to find their way out of the nightmare?

His body was a temple. A beautiful, perfect, glorious temple.

I felt Hollie nudge my arm, and when I looked at her, her brown eyes were dancing with amusement, and there was a shit-eating grin spread across her face. She leaned close. “Love, you have a little drool, right here,” she whispered, wiping the corner of her mouth.

I scoffed and rolled my eyes as Vince asked, “Ali, have you guys met yet?”

My and Jay’s eyes met, but as I opened my mouth to answer, he beat me to it. “Can’t say we have, I’m Jay—”

“Hamilton,” I said around the flips that invaded my stomach. “I know who you are, I’ve seen you fight.”

He scratched his jaw. “Oh yeah, is that so?”

“A few times actually.”

His chest shook with a half-laugh, his face smug and his eyes full of skepticism as his eyes flicked to my perfectly styled strawberry-blonde hair, my expensive-looking clothing, the diamond studs in my ears, and then back to my impeccably made-up face. “I somehow seriously doubt that.”

Hello, Mr. Ego.

I knew exactly what he was thinking: stuck-up little rich girl. That was just the part I played for my mother. It wasn’t who I was. To guys like him, there was no way a good-looking girl who looked like she came from money enjoyed watching sports or went to The Underground for any other reason than to pick up a guy.

I rolled my eyes and dismissed him by turning my attention to the hockey game that was on the television behind him. My team was up by two with fifteen minutes left to play, but no matter how much I tried to ignore him, I could feel him watching, waiting for me to say something that would out myself as being what he thought I was, a ring rat.

I made him wait a little longer before I sat taller and crossed my legs, my hands resting on my lap. “Jay ‘Hurricane’ Hamilton. You have one hundred and forty-eight wins, twenty-six—no, wait, sorry, twenty-eight knockouts. You are currently sitting second behind Delgado, who’s really giving you a run for his money, though, in my opinion you could and should be first.” The confidence oozed in my voice, thick and heavy with every word.

Everyone had turned to look at me, a few curious as to what was going on, but the people who knew me were all wearing grins. I wasn’t some pretty ring rat. When it came to most sports, I knew my shit, and I knew it well.

My love and knowledge of all things sports came courtesy of my dad. He was the one who made sure I learned everything I needed to know at a young age, and growing up having whatever free time we could carve out, we spent it in his office watching Sportsnet or going to whatever game he got us tickets for. It was the one thing that bonded us so closely together—something my mom hated, more than carbs.

Hollie chuckled beside me, and Derek let out a breath, saying, “Shit, now you’ve done it.”

The author of the Breathe Again and Blinded by Love series, both written under the pseudonym, Emma Grayson. If You Say So is my debut novel under A.R. Myles and my first standalone novel. I’m currently working on a few new novels as well as a new series, which is focused on single moms who are trying to make it in the dating world after being wronged by their loser exs.
Born and raised on the outskirts of Edmonton, Alberta, I reside in a small town with my family, my eleven-year-old son, and six cats. I love my romance with a twist of suspense, and when I’m not writing or reading or coming up with new plots, I spend most of my time binging all the shows on Netflix and drinking Starbucks coffee with my mom and best friends.
