It’s no secret that the ladies of Mustang Prairie love a good drink. Whether it is a bottle cold Riesling, a dirty martini or something more…girly, they will drink it up over gossip and plans for world domination!
Since the temperature is rising a “proper” lady will need a refreshing cocktail that keeps her cool while giving her a slight buzz. In that vein Alex has come up with the perfect lunchtime cocktail for her next get together…the Melon Ball Punch.
But this ain’t your grandma’s punch! This is a punch for the girls who don’t mind alcohol in the middle of a lazy summer day. Continue reading Ladies Who (Drink) Lunch Melon Ball Punch
The ladies at Writers Can’t Shine Without Readers did an author spotlight on yours truly–thanks so much! But what’s really cool is the audio excerpt, at least I thought so. If you haven’t had time to check it out yet, go HERE and listen!
If you haven’t jumped on the Mustang Prairie bandwagon yet, let me tell you that the lovely ladies in this town are loyal, loving, kind and caring. They are looking for love–sometimes in all the wrong places, as the song says–and this time around they won’t settle for less!
Shellie, the leading lady in book one, Conflict of Interest loves to cook, loves wine and adores daisies. She’s fiercely loyal and protective of her town and her fellow citizens. When Noel Hampton brings KitchenMart to town, he’ll have to go toe-to-toe with this spunky firebrand if he wants success. Find out what kind of sparks fly when these two come together!
Conflict Of Interest
Alex the lead in A Little Bit In Love, is Shellie’s best friend and frankly, she’s sick of the dating scene and she’s calling a time out on men. She has plenty to worry about with her gym/spa/salon World of Wonder, her friends and the small town she loves. But a holiday fling touches Alex more than she expected and Baxter isn’t willing to give her up. Can their affair last in the real world or is their short but sweet romance all that was meant to be?
A Little Bit In Love
The ladies over at Sinfully Sweet Promotions are, once again, helping a writer girl out! This Thursday, May 7th, I will be doing a takeover hour with them!

Since this is my first go ’round I haven’t quite figured it all out but I’m thinking there will be games, gossip about the crazy peeps of Mustang Prairie, talk about my upcoming work and even a giveaway or two of my Mustang Prairie series.
There will be fun, there will be drinks (at least I’ll have one) and there will be book boyfriends and book BFFs! Continue reading TAKEOVER THURSDAY 5/7
With Cinco de Mayo almost here Alex will be whipping up a refreshing cocktail to go with whatever yummy treats Shellie has planned. All the ladies will be there; Alex, Shellie, Sadie (her story is a WIP), Amelia, Luna and Trixie. You met Trixie in A Little Bit In Love but you’ll learn more about her in Sadie’s upcoming story.
There will be margaritas, there will be salsa and there will be tons and tons of MAN TALK!
So grab your favorite berry, I used boysenberry because they are tangy and Alex doesn’t like “no stinkin’ sweet cocktails” and add this to your next GNO! Continue reading Alex’s Berry-Peño Margarita!
So you’re looking for a small town romance and don’t know where to start. How about with two crazy best friends who meet regularly over wine or cocktails to talk about love, life, men and booze?

One of the things you’ll notice throughout Conflict of Interest is that most of the get togethers revolve around various forms of alcohol. Whether it’s Margarita Mondays or Wine Wednesday, they grab a few bottles and get together to talk about men, life, jobs and pretty much anything else important to them.
Part of this comes from my love of alcohol and part of it comes from testing different wines, beers and spirits on my travels. Although Germany is known for its beer (or bier) they also have some pretty good wine selections from my personal favorite Schwarzriesling to the only white I can drink…Riesling. Whether its two buck chuck or an expensive bottle, I’m willing to give it all a try just like the women of Mustang Prairie. Continue reading Mustang Prairie Girls Love Their Drinks!!!!
After losing her birth parents and her adopted parents Alexis Mabry is used to being alone. So after a year of horrible dates with everyone from sugar baby wannabes to cross dressers, she decides to stop dating altogether and focus on what matters most: her business and her friends in Mustang Prairie.
When she meets a handsome stranger on a trip to California she starts to wonder if its time to get back in the game.
Baxter Thompsen spent the last decade building his empire to the exclusion of everything but sex. Now tired of the socialites and starlets, he wants someone real. When he does she only wants a vacation fling and it’s up to Baxter to show her that lust is great, but love is the real prize.
Is it lust or are Baxter and Alex more than a little bit in love?

Trying to figure out what exactly about your book will attract a reader is…close to impossible. I mean some people come for the sex and stay for the love story…others only want the love story. What’s a writer to do?
I just try to give a little bit of both because sometimes when I read a story I’m completely flabbergasted about how a few rounds of hot sex leads to love and other times I’m like, “You can’t be in love yet, you haven’t even had sex!” So you see it’s hard as a reader and writer.
But I’ve come up with a few I think get the job done. Agree or disagree?
Conflict of Interest is AVAILABLE NOW!
