ABOUT:
Mallory Worthington has had enough of being treated like a fragile flower. She needs to get out of Dodge, as far and fast as possible. Somewhere no one knows about her childhood battle with cancer. A talented chef working at her family’s flagship hotel, she leaps at the first job opportunity that meets her criteria – personal chef and nanny for a reclusive and insanely hot billionaire in the Florida Keys. She doesn’t know a lot about the nanny part, but how hard can it be?
Billionaire Rhys Dalton cut himself off from the world after his wife was killed. Living on this remote island was the only way he could ensure the safety of his son. Finding someone willing to help him take care of his child, well that’s been a challenge right up until Mallory knocks on his office door. She makes him think and feel things he hasn’t in years. He’s smart, so he fires her on the spot.
But she’s not going anywhere, no matter how hard he might try to get rid of her…
A Nanny For The Reclusive Billionaire was a quick, fun read. Mallory was a strong character which was kind of a change for the nanny-billionaire trope. She’d gone through literal hell and came out the other side stronger with aspirations to become stronger. She wasn’t some fragile woman who needed the big, strong billionaire to swoop in and save herself.
So she broke free from her suffocating parents and took a job as a nanny for an adorable little boy who lost his mother in a pretty horrific way. The romance in this book was amazing but the real love story was between Mallory and Oliver, Rhys’ adorable little boy. They bonded because they understood each other in a way that made me love this story even more.
Regina Kyle did a really great job of making a very strong heroine who only grew stronger by loving little Oliver and his father. She wasn’t a damsel in distress, she was a fighter. One who wasn’t willing to stand by and let Oliver live in the same gilded cage she had for far too long.
I had a good time reading this story and I devoured the book in just a few hours, which was the only downside because I could’ve done with a bit more of Mallory and Rhys. A Nanny For The Reclusive Billionaire also included some memorable secondary characters including Collins and Mallory’s crazy sister.
