Then the storm cloud of an entitled millionaire appears in my life and knocks me off my axis. This man sends so many mixed signals, my body either quakes with anger or passion when I’m around him.

I’m his son’s teacher and his tenant, but I find myself wanting more.

Leo
My life is run with precision with little regard for others until a woman in crazy clothes challenges me to be a better father. With her failed marriage and list of requests she needs from her next partner, I know she’s my future. My life is less than perfect, and with it—baggage that follows me everywhere. Does she want my kind of crazy in her life?

I’m her landlord and an a**hole, but  I find myself wanting more.

ABOUT:

Everyone in Fate, Texas knows that Bluebell Carter has always been a little bit crazy. There was that time she colored her hair pink and the time she keyed her boyfriend’s car not to mention how she up and left town and her daddy in the dust ten years ago. Rolling back home in an ugly orange bridesmaid dress was not the reappearance she’d ever planned to make and staying in town was the last thing she ever thought possible. Then again, being in Texas does crazy things to her brain (maybe it’s the heat?) because before she can say “bless your heart” she finds herself tangled up with a handsome, hard-muscled cowboy.

Zach West earned his hard body the old fashioned way – lots of hard work on hard Texas land. He’s spent his life playing the role of responsible West brother, the oldest, the protector and guardian. His father’s death left him to care for two younger brothers, a grieving mother and a ranch. He’s had enough of caring for other people to last a lifetime and zero plans to add a woman to that list but Bluebell has a way of driving him nuts that’s impossible to resist. He dreams about her long blonde hair and even longer legs. She’s pretty enough to drive a man to drink, to sin… but to love? Now that’s just crazy.

Okay let me just start by saying that I LOVED Crazy Little Thing Called Love. A lot. I read a ton of books and I like a lot of them but this was fun and sweet, hot and heartbreaking. It’s what a romance novel should be.

Blue was incredible. Doing her own thing even while she battled feelings of abandonment and being unloveable. She was strong and brave, not letting her issues get in her way. Mostly. And Zach, sweet baby J he was all MAN. I loved him from the first scene and that never let up, which is rare because I’m usually Team Heroine.

The chemistry between Blue and Zach was off the chart and not just the sexual chemistry. When they were together, bantering and bickering, I smiled as I read those scenes and now I’m jogging my memory to see if I’ve read anything else by Jess Bryant because I really enjoyed reading Crazy Little Thing Called Love.

Is there a Riley & Maddie story in the making or…??

#FREE BOOK REVIEW!!! ~ Once Upon a Texas Christmas – Katherine Garbera

Get your copy HERE!!!

ABOUT:

Avery Burton loves her job as assistant to Logan Calloway. A big time Hollywood A-lister, Logan spends all his time on the West Coast leaving her to run his charity in Whiskey River. Staying busy and giving back to the community that is the only real family she’s ever known suits Avery just fine…until Logan announces he’s coming home for Christmas.

Ever since his mother abandoned him as a young boy, Whiskey River hasn’t felt like home to Logan Calloway. Still, he heads home for the holidays, intending to reflect on his career and personal life. When he sees his assistant Avery in his home, Logan begins to realize that Whiskey River has more to offer than just bad memories.

As Logan and Avery spend more time together working for the charity, it becomes impossible to deny their chemistry and attraction.

This book was a kindle free read at the time of posting.

Once Upon a Texas Christmas was a fun, short Christmas story featuring two people with BIG issues, courtesy of their parents. Logan was the son of the town drunk who became a cautionary tale, leaving him feeling lower than dirt. Avery was the daughter of brilliant scientists who treated parenting like a fifty-fifty task to be handled. So like I said, issues.

But Avery works for Logan’s charitable donation and when they finally spend time together things get flirty, fast. Despite reservations on both their parts, Logan and Avery learn that sometimes chemistry is hard to ignore. They were hot together—really, really hot—but it wasn’t just that. They gravitated towards each other and it was a delight to read their story.

Once Upon a Texas Christmas didn’t have a lot of excess drama which I appreciated because both Logan and Avery were in their own way without anyone else’s help.
