Earning her place among them was the easy part.

Leslie Beckett had been the glue holding her family together since her mother disappeared not long after her birth. As a witch, a dragon shifter, and the only daughter in a household of male dragon shifters, she’d had to train harder. Be the best. She’d always crave the hunt. Yet the innate tug of magic made her feel most alive.

Tyler Jackson followed his sister to Rayner, leaving his career as a police officer on Earth behind. Ditching his ties to his undercover ops position proved more difficult though. So he put those skills to work when granted a spot on the alpha’s elite team. He was nothing if not ruthlessly efficient in his role.

When a ghost from the past shocks the clan, nothing is as it seems. As the guardian of the long awaited prophesy, Leslie plots a way forward. Tyler is a welcome distraction, igniting feelings Leslie is unprepared for. And he can’t get the wickedly talented, pretty princess out of his head.

Meanwhile, the rogue fae quietly claim the minds of loved ones in their own quest for the elusive prophesy. Can Leslie and Tyler’s growing bond prove stronger than the forces of fate uniting against them?

*Readers can expect healthy doses of hot shifters, naughty language, and intimate time with a fated mate, all wrapped up in a happily ever after. Can be read as a standalone romance but best enjoyed in the order written.

Her shoulders drop and for a moment, the woman is replaced by the girl I remember. “I couldn’t get time off work. I tried. I really did try to get here for the funeral, but we had a deadline.”
“So did your aunt.” I huff, crossing my arms over my chest.
“She would have understood. She was always proud of my work, which is why I still can’t fathom why she left me her tea shop.”
“Half her shop.” I correct her.
“Gray can you fix the urn. The spout is sticking again,” Trudy says, waddling to the table with a tray resting on her pregnant belly.
“I’ll leave you to it, while I take my things up. I assume Betty’s flat is still in order upstairs.
“Upstairs?” I blink fast. “You’re moving in upstairs?”
“Where else would I stay?”
“There’s a bed and breakfast next door. You’ll have to stay there. I’m living upstairs.”
“Since when?” She crosses her arms over her chest.
“Since your aunt went into a care home and asked me to run the place.” I check to see if Lark is still sitting at the table, hoping she can offer a room at her bed and breakfast. My eyes plead with her, knowing Lark, she’s heard all our conversation.
Her lip curls as she sips on her tea. “Sorry but the bed and breakfast is full, so is the inn. You won’t find any spare rooms this time of the year with the Easter holidays.”
“Great. Well there’s no room here.” I wave my hand in the air, then pinch the bridge of my nose. I wanted her here, but I hadn’t expected her to just show up unannounced. I’m not prepared for this.
She digs a fist into her cocked hip. “Oh my goodness, it’s like Bethlehem. Are you going to put me up in a stable?”
“Why you’re not pregnant are you?”
She gives me a death stare. “Do I look pregnant to you?” She glances down at her tight denim jeans hugging her belly. “Don’t answer that,” she warns. “It’s just a little holiday weight.”
I nod, holding back my smile. I always loved her curves. And she hasn’t lost her confidence.
Lark continues to sip her tea with a smile hiding behind her china cup.
I scratch the back of my neck. “I guess you’ll have to stay here. There’s a couch.”
“Thank you.” She lets out a sigh and continues lugging her case through the back.
Damn she’s even more feisty than I remember. Her ass sways in front of me and I have the urge to squeeze it or swat it. Does she expect me to drop everything, give up my bed and wait on her, this ain’t no damn holiday resort.
Who does she think she is? Walking in here like she owns the place. Technically she does. Yeah but not for long. She wants me to buy her out. She wants to sell. Her great aunt would turn in her grave if she knew. I couldn’t buy her out even if I wanted to. And up to now it’s the only hold I had over her to get her ass back here after ten years.

I’m a graphic artist by day and author by night, writing real, raw, racy romance. My book boyfriends are inked heroes who like fat, fun, and feisty women (sounds familiar).

My goal is to spread body positivity through my fat and fabulous curvy heroines with a good serving of British humour on the side (not forgetting an extra helping of alpha goodness).

On the very rare occasion I’m not working in my day job…or night job as a writer, I’ll be living my best life in the heart of England with my other half, two wildlings (otherwise known as Veruca Salt and Mike Teavee), and a randy cavalier pup.

My serious book fetish travels with me in our tin cruiser as we roam the English countryside. You’ll usually find me in a field somewhere or curled up on the sofa with a coffee (wine), blanket and dog to keep me cozy, and a good steamy book to make me w—warm.

My job as mayor of the most Christmasy town South of the North Pole comes with enough perks to overlook the headaches of municipal leadership. Most of the time. The new owner of Candy Cane Key’s Community Playhouse is putting that theory to the test.

Austie Norman, with her holly berry red lips and evergreen eyes, fits in perfectly. If I ignore the way she’s messing with tradition and making changes. And if I ignore the way she blazes past tradition and brings fresh energy to town. Definitely if I ignore the way she makes my heart trip over itself every time we argue about her plans to produce an adaptation of Shakespeare’s Ides of March. We can’t do Shakespeare when we’re meant to be doing Seuss. This is Candy Cane Key and people have certain expectations when they come here.

I can ignore all of that to fall in love. I just need to find a way to make Austie ignore all the ways I drive her crazy so she falls in love with me, too.

The MAN OF THE MONTH CLUB is a steamy small-town collection featuring a new hottie (or two!) every month. In 2023, escape to Candy Cane Key, Florida, and celebrate ALL the holidays with your favorite group of romance authors and their delicious men. Can’t wait to see you there!

Put a finger down if you’ve ever been a single woman who got stuck in a New York City elevator in the middle of a summer blackout with your former high school sweetheart—whom you haven’t seen in years—while pregnant with a baby that isn’t biologically yours. And you can’t believe how handsome that blast from your past is, so you unwittingly flirt with him a little even though your life is so crazy complicated you’re barely keeping your head above water, but everything about him makes you think you could totally still be in love with him.

*puts a finger down*

What? Just me?

Needless to say, my current status is thorny. And no, I didn’t miss how close that word is to another one.

Even though he’s the epitome of tall, dark, and incredibly handsome, Remington Winslow has been a single bachelor for most of his life. It’s clichéd and basic—until you consider the fact that once upon a terrible time, he got left at the altar.

He doesn’t do relationships. He definitely doesn’t fall in love.

And I’m just trying to survive a tangled web of unexpected motherhood and running one of the top real estate firms in the city that never sleeps.

He’s the jaded guy who doesn’t want to settle down, and I’m the career-focused woman with more baggage than a 747 can hold.

We’re just two friends who used to be in love.

Now, if someone would tell my hormones I’m not a teenager anymore, I’d be set.

HAPPY RELEASE DAY!!! ~ Into the Sunset by S.L. Sterling

Title: Into the Sunset
Author: S.L. Sterling
Genre: Second Chance Romance
Release Date: May 10, 2022
Cover Design: Thunderstruck Cover Design

Ben
I know why I lost her. I was too serious, I was too practical. I was too busy thinking I knew what she wanted without asking her.
Over time, this wore on her. All she wanted was to be heard. She wanted someone to support her big exciting ideas, I was supposed to do that, but I shut them down. No wonder she handed me my ring back and left town. No wonder she married someone else, leaving me with memories of sunsets at the beach and the future I had planned for us.
I went on and built my life without her. My father and I opened the second division of Sunset Builders in Las Vegas, and to my surprise, I stayed busy, almost busy enough not to notice the loneliness. That was until one day I was called to do a quick bathroom and kitchen remodel for a woman who lived on Las Vegas Boulevard. I shouldn’t of gone, I should have sent one of my men because when I arrived, and the door opened, every memory I’d had of Jessica came flooding back.
If I’d learned anything in her absence it was that anything worth doing was worth being done well, and anything worth having was worth fighting for. I just hoped she’d give me a second chance.

Jessica
Ben had always been right to keep me grounded. I should’ve listened because the falls didn’t hurt as bad that way.
I wanted a bigger life, in a bigger brighter place. I never appreciated the beauty of living in a small town with a huge support system. Instead, I left town without so much as a goodbye, chasing a silly dream.
I married the man who promised me the sun, moon, and the stars, but delivered blinding blows. I spent years hiding in the dark so that no one would see my bruised face. Most days, I thought I’d die before I escaped the nightmare. I dreamed of running, it was my only way out. Then I got news my grandfather had passed. He left me money and a gorgeous condo in Vegas. I had a plan. I would upgrade the condo, sell it, and fade away into the sunset, all while my husband was gone on a business trip.
Little did I know that Ben would show up on my doorstep. He swore we could make our dreams real, but this time I was the grounded one. I could only see how we would never work. I’d made too many mistakes and love was terrifying.

“Hey, just me,” Julie yelled. “Did you forget? You were supposed to meet me tonight at The Dive Bar?”

Instantly I remembered and I closed my eyes, “Fuck! Sorry, Jules. I got a little sidetracked,” I said, forcing myself up off the couch and heading to the kitchen to meet my sister.

“It’s fine. I brought pizza and wings to you instead. I figured you got caught up in something, but it would have been nice for you to call me or something. Instead, I sat there waiting for you for an hour, looking like an idiot.”

It had totally slipped my mind that my sister and I had dinner plans. I walked over to the counter and flipped open the pizza box, grabbing a slice while my sister grabbed plates from the cupboard. Her eyes fell to the stack of dirty dishes that lined the counters, and then she turned and looked me over, watching as a piece of pepperoni fell onto my chest, which I grabbed and shoved in my mouth.

“Jesus, you look like shit! Here, have a plate.” She giggled and thrust the plate out to me. “You probably should clean this place up, you know. It’s a sty. Honestly, for a guy who is looking for a girlfriend, you’d think you’d keep your place clean.”

“Thanks! Always loved your compliments. Since when did you become my keeper anyway?”

Jules completely ignored me while I loaded my plate with pizza and wings. While she loaded hers, I grabbed two beers from the fridge, pulled the chair out, and sat down at the table. I twisted off the two caps and handed her a bottle.

“So what happened?” she asked, taking the beer from my hand.

“Apparently, I’m a shitty-looking guy who lives in a sty. What do you mean, what happened?”

“You stood me up, for starters, but in all seriousness, you look like you’ve been put through the mill. I know your day wasn’t that tough, since I’m the one who scheduled it, so what gives?”

The last thing I wanted to do was talk about Jess, but I knew it was inevitable with my sister. She would poke, prod, and pry until I had spilled everything! The fact that she hadn’t asked me more than she already had surprised me, especially since she knew I had gone to Jess’s earlier.

“Something happen between you and Jess?”

There it was, like always. I threw my slice of pizza down on the plate and brought the beer bottle up to my lips. “Guess you could say that.” I guzzled down half the bottle and looked at my sister.

“Care to elaborate or are you going to make love to that beer bottle all night?” she asked while picking a piece of pepperoni off her pizza and shoving it into her mouth.

Book Release & Review ~ Mixed Up with a Marine: A Small Town Second Chance Military Romance by Kait Nolan

BLURB:

Can a Marine turned baker and a jaded contractor find their way to a second chance?

Braxton Whitmore needs a change. After leaving the Marines, he’s free to build a new life. But is he gonna be a baker? Really? When his buddy inherits a decrepit bar and proposes they partner up to turn it into a bakery, Brax figures why not? Until his ex comes walking in.

Mia Whitmore has built a new life for herself, far from the heartbreak and secrets that tore her marriage apart. The last thing she expects is for her estranged husband to be business partners with her latest client. Or for Brax to think they’re already divorced.

As they’re forced into proximity on the renovation, truths come to light, and Brax and Mia get a second chance. But when past secrets become present danger, Brax puts everything on the line to protect the woman who’s always held his heart.

Bad Boy Bakers series Kait Nolan

This is Mia & Brax’s story and after reading their background story, Rescued By a Bad Boy I was really looking forward to see how they got their happy ending.

This is not your usual Kait Nolan romance, not at all, but it such a fun story. A good story that sucks you right in from the beginning. Mia and Brax grew up together in foster care and they formed a bond, a close and loving bond that was torn apart by Mia’s inability to trust and forces outside both of their control. Devastated, Brax joined the Marines and got on with his life.

Mostly.

After serving is country he ends up in the same town as Mia and their re-introduction does not go well. At first. But this is a bit of a romantic suspense so events happen to bring them together, events beyond their undeniable attraction and bond. Knowing what they went through and how much they’d loved in their younger days, it was a wonderful journey to go on with them.

So much happens in Mixed Up with a Marine that I’m almost at a loss about what to say. There’s action, there’s steam and there’s a lot of brotherhood which gave the story the perfect amount of fun to counteract the seriousness of Mia and Brax’s life before the book, and the parts that follow them into the present.

There was a lot of hurt to work through and they did it, and thankfully it didn’t take them forever to get there. I loved this story and I can’t wait to see what Wyatt gets up to in the next story.

She needs arm candy, he needs her insurance, but first, they need to drive across the country without killing each other.

Eli

Since the first day of kindergarten, I have hated Alexandra Hartford.

And twenty-something years later that hasn’t changed.

But she has.

She’s still a tomboy with a chip on her shoulder, but now she’s a hot tomboy with a chip on her tattooed shoulder who can fight like a badass.

I’d still rather have a bath with fire ants than spend ten days in a car with her, but she has something I need.

Once the deal is done, we can go our separate ways.

That is … if I want to.

Alex

Eli Evans is my nemesis.

He blames me for his sister’s death, our parents’ divorces, and probably global warming, too.

Why on Earth would I help him?

Because he’s as easy on the eyes as he is the bane of my existence and I need a hot date to a wedding in San Diego.

Can we drive across the country without me leaving him at a truck stop somewhere? I doubt it.

But, I’m willing to try.

Ten days in a car, a wedding, and a marriage of convenience, then I’m done with him forever.

Right?

Excerpt:

The sound of the curtain in her changing room being pulled open echoed into my changing room, so I made sure my dick wasn’t visible, then pulled back my own curtain.

Jamie was zipping up Alexandra’s dress—the royal blue bandage strapless one—but she whipped around to face me when Jamie was finished.

Her eyes widened, pupils dilated, nostrils flared. It was a primal reaction that I would have to be an idiot to miss.

I had a primal reaction of my own—in my pants.

“Holy fuck,” I breathed.

She glanced away, but the smile that lifted one side of her mouth was dead sexy.

“You’re getting that one,” I said.

She smoothed her hands down the sides, turned on one foot, and glanced at herself in the mirror. “Yeah, I like it, too.”

“You can’t wear those two together, though,” Jamie said. “The blues are too close in color, but not close enough. If you know what I mean?”

Alexandra and I nodded.

“He should just wear a dress shirt and maybe dark gray pants when you wear that dress.”

“I have dark gray pants in the room,” I said, hooking a thumb toward my changing room and a stack of pants on the bench.

I stepped out and away from my room to get a better look at myself in the mirror outside the changing rooms. “What do you think?”

“I think it’s a perfect fit,” Jamie said. “Doesn’t even look like you’ll need tailoring.”

Alexandra nodded. “Looks good.” I caught her checking out my ass and grinned, but when she saw me see her, her eyes whipped up to the ceiling as if a flock of geese had just flown overhead.

“You guys got any brown wingtips?” I asked, focusing my gaze on Jamie.

He nodded. “Sure do. Size?”

I glanced back at Alexandra and smiled as I said, “Thirteen.”

I did not miss the flare of her eyes or the way they drifted down to the front of my pants.

“Eyes up here, lady,” I said, catching her gaze back in the mirror.

Startled, she ditched the surprised look and went with a glare before returning to her changing room and dramatically pulling the curtain closed again.

“What is the dynamic of your relationship?” Jamie asked, glancing back and forth between me and the closed changing room curtain.

“She’s my fiancée,” I said chipperly. “But she’d rather not be.”

Short Quotes:

1 – Tomorrow, I would be embarking on the greatest challenge of my life. Ten straight days in a vehicle with my enemy—who was now frustratingly gorgeous and also technically my fiancé.

This was going to be my Everest.

I only hoped that I could make it to the top without losing a limb to frostbite or pushing my climbing partner off the side of a mountain.

2 – “We’re on vacation. If you want two pies, get two pies. No regrets on this trip, right?”

3 – “All set,” he said, zipping up the tent and standing in front of me. “Now for the fire.” I stood there like a complete tool, watching him transform into this sexy, rugged mountain man. Okay, maybe that was a bit of a stretch, but his ability to just take charge and handle any situation that came to him was seriously hot. He’d also located a flannel shirt in his bag, and although a little wrinkled, it was just adding to this lumberjack, camping-man image he was personifying nicely. My mouth was dry. My panties were not.

4 – His words and the way he spoke were doing things to me. I wanted to open the door and drag him into the shower, take his mouth and let him do anything and everything he wanted to my body so long as he kept talking to me the way he was now.

5 – “How drunk are you?”

“Drunk enough to have a lot of dirty thoughts parading around in my head. Sober enough that you wouldn’t be taking advantage—and to know with immense certainty that we’d regret not doing this in the morning.”

“We’d regret not doing this?”

6 – There was nothing I could do but take. He had me helpless against the door as he mercilessly pounded up and into me, over and over again. His mouth found the other nipple, and he sucked hard enough a gasp snagged at the back of my throat. I tilted my head against the door and moaned.

Every thrust had his pelvic bone grazing my clit. Every thrust had me seeing stars. Every thrust catapulted me closer to another sweet, glorious release.

He lifted his head from my breast and took my mouth again, his tongue pushing possessively inside.

7 – Did there need to be a winner, or could I hand out gold medals to every part of his body that made me feel this good?

Of course, I could. I made the rules here. This was my award ceremony. Gold stars, blue ribbons, and gigantic trophies to his tongue, cock, and fingers

Praise for the novel:

“There was certainly some emotional moments in Love to Hate You and a few times where I was on the edge of my seat whilst reading. This book is a little gem and one I thoroughly enjoyed.”

– Erin Lewis (Goodreads Review)

“Their story is intense and poignant at times but it also has a lighter side to it as well. The authors words draw you into a storyline that holds hard and fast to your heart. Love to Hate You is an exceptional love story.”

– Kylee (Goodreads Review)

“The sexy times between them are nothing to sneeze at either: hot, steamy, sensual and drool-worthy. This book made me laugh one moment and cry the next.”

– Silke (Goodreads Review)

“An irresistible blend of emotion, angst, drama, heat, heart and humor was super enjoyable and made this book a true delight to read.”

– Gladys (Goodreads Review)

About the Author:

A Canadian West Coast baby born and raised, Whitley is married to her high school sweetheart, and together they have two beautiful daughters and a fluffy dog. She spends her days making food that gets thrown on the floor, vacuuming Cheerios out from under the couch and making sure that the dog food doesn’t end up in the air conditioner. But when nap time comes, and it’s not quite wine o’clock, Whitley sits down, avoids the pile of laundry on the couch, and writes.

A lover of all things decadent; wine, cheese, chocolate and spicy erotic romance, Whitley brings the humorous side of sex, the ridiculous side of relationships and the suspense of everyday life into her stories. With single dads, firefighters, Navy SEALs, mommy wars, body issues, threesomes, bondage and role-playing, Whitley’s books have all the funny and fabulously filthy words you could hope for.

“What do you think about dinner again next weekend?”
Alex’s words brought me out of my mind and I quickly processed what he was saying.
“You want to go out again?” I couldn’t keep the surprise out of my voice.
He slanted a look my way, then quickly looked back at the road before grinning. “Yeah, I want to
go out again. I had a lot of fun and don’t want to stop.”
A large smile spread across my face. Oh my, God! I wanted to squeal and do a dance at him
asking me out again. But considering I was sitting next to him in the front seat of his car, I’d
have to wait.
We were just passing the “Welcome to Evergreen Ridge” sign when I asked, “Has your dog run
away from you anymore?”
Alex chuckled, and I grinned.
“Nah, he hasn’t seen any other women he wants to accost on the ice. We’ll have to plan a day
for you to go out so we can make it happen.”
I laughed. “I’m sure I can find time in my schedule.”
My phone buzzed in my jacket pocket, reminding me of the email I had sitting in my inbox that I
needed to deal with.
I stiffened at the reminder.
“Here we are,” Alex said, pulling into my driveway. “You stay there.”
I grinned as I watched him lever out of the car and jog around to my side, pulling the door open.

I smiled as I accepted his hand, gasping when he threaded his fingers through mine and walked
me to my door.
My face heated as we climbed the steps.
