My Author Classifieds Interview

I’ve discovered on this journey to published authordom that I LOVE talking about books. Whether it is my own books, other people’s book or just reading in general I’m always stoked to talk about it.

So when Ravannah over at Author Classifieds asked me if she could interview me, I jumped at the chance! I talk a bit about my newest novel, Feels Like Love as well as the other books in the Mustang Prairie series.  Continue reading My Author Classifieds Interview

COVER REVEAL ~ Feels Like Love (Mustang Prairie Book 3)

I’m so excited that the time  has come to show you the cover of Feels Like Love. This book has been a labor of love for me, because Sadie & Dylan’s story touched me. Life got in the way so it took a bit more time to get it finished.

But…it’s being edited as we speak with a tentative publish date of 14-January!

That’s the good news. The great news is that I LOVE this cover and I think you’ll find Sadie & Dylan’s story one that will touch you deeply. I listened to a lot of music writing this story, a lot of Adele, Nina Simone, Fiona Apple and Odetta so you should get a pretty good idea of Sadie’s voice! I fell in love with country music and reconnected with a few old artists who used to get overplayed on my playlists.  Continue reading COVER REVEAL ~ Feels Like Love (Mustang Prairie Book 3)

Romance Author of the Year ~ 2015

Every night when all my so called ‘real’ work is done and all my client’s files are saved, I load up whatever story I’m working on and get lost in another world. For most of 2016 that world has been Mustang Prairie. Shellie and Alex have had their stories and very soon Sadie’s will be ready for public consumption. It’s such a solitary process for the most part and by the time other people get involved, the book is done and you just have to bite your nails and drink martinis while you hope for the best.

What’s my point? Well that’s simple, it’s nice to know that readers and bloggers are consuming my words, loving them and getting lost in them. As a new author it can be hard to gauge how well you’re doing other than sales and reviews, which are awesome metrics, by the way. But when a blogger you love and respect says “hey you’re an awesome writer” very little feels better than that. Continue reading Romance Author of the Year ~ 2015

Shellie & Alex’s Wine-y Cranberry Sauce

The ladies of Mustang Prairie love to celebrate all holidays and occasions–big and small–and a holiday totally dedicated to eating and drinking? Well they couldn’t resist coming up with a new twist on an old favorite!

Shellie: This recipe is strictly for the adult crowd! Think of it as kind of a mulled wine cranberry sauce because you’ll need much more than sugar and water for this delicious dish. Alex is on wine duty because she’s a far more competent drinker than I am but this recipe was a collaboration between me and my bestie…even if she can’t eat this yet!

Alex: You all know I think pretty much any dish can be improved upon with booze, and turkey day makes that doubly true. Who can deal with a packed house full of over-sexed senior citizens, matchmaking old ladies, a growing list of friends and Shirl, who is in a class of her own, without the aid of alcohol?

This year I have no choice but to endure it sober, which means I’m dedicated to making sure everyone else is as relaxed as possible. So, let’s get to cooking! Continue reading Shellie & Alex’s Wine-y Cranberry Sauce
