Tapped was a short and sweet steamy romance and though I usually skip these reads, this one held my attention from start to finish. Yes, it was insta-love and yes it was insta-sex, but I love both of those things and I really loved it here. Georgia isn’t looking to get loved up again, especially after ex and her ex friend betrayed her.

But as these things tend to go, the one guy to make her body tingle all over is interested in more than just one night. Will. Oh, hot, sweet, magnificent Will. I want one of my own and I’ll keep him for more than a night! He’s got a big family and they drop by whenever they want, which produces some true comedic moments that made me laugh out loud.

Tapped is a novella, about 70 pages, but it still a fun time.

When Winter Stormageddon traps Ivy and Harrison together, suddenly his one-man cabin feels more cramped than cozy. As more than the fireplace heats things up, Harrison’s starting to think the interruption to his solitude might be worth it. Will the grumpy lumberjack prove to be inspiration or distraction?

Ivy and Harrison were a fun couple to get to know in Baby It’s Cold Outside, despite my initial hesitance about reading a novella. Usually I find them too short to be satisfying but, as usual, Kait Nolan has done a great job of pulling out all the right details for a full and satisfying story.

As a writer myself, I fully understand Ivy’s need to just get away and focus on taking care of herself and writing. But best laid plans and all that, and she ends up in a compromising position (not that kind!) that lands her in the arms of super hot and very grumpy Harrison. He’s a man of few words, plenty of grunts, and some pretty intense inner thoughts.

It was nice to see some of the people from the Misfit Inn series, especially Ari who seems to have grown up even more and all I have to say, is poor Pru! And (hint, hint) I’m hoping this is going to kickstart another series with those sexy ex-servicemen?!?!

Okay, back to the story. Baby It’s Cold Outside was hot and sweet, fun, funny and yes, even sad at times. I felt it all and if not for the fact it was so short, I definitely would have stayed up all night trying to finish it!

Another great romance from Kait Nolan!

A Spoonful of Sugar is book two in the Bachelor Bake-Off series, and this time we get health conscious gym owner Tyler, whose staff entered him into the bake-off knowing he can’t even cook grilled cheese. So when Tyler sets off his smoke alarm during an attempt to bake a cake he finally gets an official introduction to his cute by shy neighbor, Stacey Allman. Stacey is a heroine you can get behind and I applaud Kate Hardy for this character. She is sympathetic and kind, sweet and shy, but along the way she learns that she is stronger and smarter than her family ever let her believe. When these two meet up for baking lessons, it is a sweet romance even grandma will love.

What I loved about A Spoonful of Sugar was the small town feel and getting to catch up with the people of Marietta. The drama was minimal, almost too minimal but for a sweet romance it got the job done. I liked Tyler a lot, but Lyle is the one who stole the show for me and I hope he gets a story in this series too. The thing I had a problem with is that Kate Hardy spent a lot of time talking about how to bake and at times it felt more like an homage to baking than a small town romance. The author more than made up for it with the actual bake-offs, but it slowed down the pace of the book a bit too much. Overall I enjoyed this title, but I enjoyed book one more.

She isn’t looking for love, so when she spots the handsome well-dressed stranger on New Year’s Eve, she’s surprised by how strongly she’s affected by him. Marin Thomas did a great job of bringing me right back to Marietta and the chocolate shop, Grey’s Saloon and all the happenings in this adorable small town.

The thing that I liked best about New Year’s at the Graff was the low-key, angst free way Lucas and Ava got together. Other than a few hot kisses, they took time to get to know each other and though they both fell fast, they didn’t jump into anything. This is definitely a beautiful romance but the other relationships in the story really made me love it. Tilly, Ava’s mother in law, and her quirks were fun and entertaining, but the way Marin Thomas wrote Lucas and Princess Sophie made them the true scene stealers, in my opinion. Even his relationship with his mother and then his father kept me reading just to see what was happening.

This was a fun and short romance that I’m happy I got a chance to read. Fun times are always had in Marietta.

What she finds instead is a hot Sheriff with a lifelong connection to the men with whom she also shared a connection. Dane, he was the STAR of the story. Handsome with a hint of that alpha protectiveness that makes a girl’s knees go weak, he had a killer smile and a way of quickly putting the skittish Jaimi at ease. I just wanted to wrap my arms around him and never let go.

For those of you who take issue with insta-love, you’re not going to like this story even though it was absolutely perfect. They didn’t have a lot of time, so they did what adults do; make a decision and hope for the best.

A big, rambunctious family is how all little girls should spend the holidays and the Stockton clan was as big and boisterous as families came.

A very good and super fast read that pulled me right in and didn’t let me go until the story was over.
