“I didn’t choose to love you,” I whispered. “But now that I do, no storm is strong enough to keep me away from you.”

Nyah Hunter has always believed in love at first sight. When she first sets eyes on James Parker, ‘Big’ to his friends,

Nyah realises he’s the man she’s been waiting for all her life. The only problem is, Big doesn’t want to know. He has his reasons for keeping the beautiful blonde at bay, but Nyah won’t give up without a fight. How can he make her see that the safest place for her is as far away from him as possible?
For Big, loving Nyah means risking more than just his heart. It means confronting a past too painful to process and recalling haunting memories too bittersweet to share.
Intent on protecting those he loves, Big sets out to defeat his demons, once and for all; a battle that’s likely to see him perish in the process. Only, he hasn’t counted on the unusual collection of individuals willing to work together for the greater good.
With fresh hope in his heart and an unlikely army by his side, Big dares to dream that this time, he might get to live free.
However, has he underestimated just how far his enemy will go to destroy him?

I was being cruel. I knew it. I was losing my mind being so close to her, and I couldn’t bring myself to stop.

Her response was to tilt her head and moan lightly against my ear.

“Look, Nyah,” I whispered, drawing closer to her hardened peak. “I’m barely touching you and yet, you’re about to come.”

Her response was to push me harshly against the brick wall. I waited for her to raise her hand and slap me, instead her body hit mine with such force she winded me. Kicking my legs apart, she moved between them.
Then she kissed me.
She. Kissed. Me.
Her hot mouth plundered mine, and she took until I was the one who was breathless. Moving her hands roughly over my chest, she pulled at my shirt until it came loose, and she could feel bare skin beneath her fingertips.
This was not the way I thought this would go. The woman was out of control. I was loving every damned second of it. I wrapped my arms around her back and hauled her too me. We kissed to the point it became painful, but neither of us came up for air. I decided that if I was going to die here and now, in this courtyard, it would be worth it just to have witnessed this beautiful woman become wild in my arms.
I smiled against her mouth when her hand moved lower, and she crudely groped at my dick through the denim. I ground my hips against her hand, loving the feel of her fingers on me, my body instantly responding to her frantic touch. When she mewled her approval into my mouth, I was done for. I grabbed hold of her waist with the intention of turning us, until I was the one leading this fervent encounter we found ourselves in. She chose that moment to break the kiss and step back out of my reach.
A few feet away, she stood breathless and turned on to all hell. Her hair was in disarray, her cheeks were flushed, her eyes were burning into mine in a way I had yet to experience. I decided she had never looked more beautiful. She was like a fallen angel halfway to hell.
Me, I was confused as fuck, but in the best conceivable way.
She smirked at me and I narrowed my eyes.
“You know, Parker?” She smirked. “I’m barely touching you, and yet, you’re about to come.”
I swallowed hard, her intentions now clear.
“Well played, darlin’.” I grimaced, “Well played.”
She should leave now.
While we both wanted more.
I was left to contemplate the fact I’d just been owned by an angel, but she was no stronger than I was. Her body was humming in anticipation, the rise and fall of her chest making her breasts move in the most delightful of ways. Her eyes were pulling with desire, growing heavier by the second, as she fought for control of her senses.
I could barely hold my ground.
But I had to, for both our sakes.

RED

I close my eyes tightly, only to hear Ethan’s voice demand, “Look at me,” in my ear.

I obey as I feel my body climax quickly. I let out a scream that surely frightens off anything else in the woods in a nearby radius. Ethan’s lips curl up, pleased, just before he leans in to smash his lips to mine. The kiss is all but brief and leaving me wanting more before his head yanks back and a low groan leaves his lips. His head leans forward to find my shoulder. His breathing is deep and ragged as he works to steady himself and brace me.

My trembling and weak body finally begins to relax as it settles on me what has happened. Ethan finally raises his head to lock eyes with mine. His eyes have changed. They seem softer. Relaxed and completely satisfied. I can’t even open my mouth, despite having tried. He holds his stance and keeps me in place as my body shivers.

“You’re cold,” I hear him murmur.

I manage a slight nod.

He smiles, plants a kiss on the center of my forehead, and begins to reluctantly move.

UNMASKED

“What’s wrong?” I ask, trailing into the room.

Christian is firmly planted on the employee couch with the television turned on. “I think you need to see this.” His eyes grow large as he points at the screen. I turn to face the TV and have one more sip of tea. He’s watching some celebrity gossip news show that I don’t quite recognize. What I do recognize, however, is myself from the masked ball plastered on the Times Square jumbo screen with the caption, “Have you seen my Cinderella? Cinderella, please find me again. Love, Hunter.”

I feel the cup slide from my hands and it crashes to the white tiled floor, spilling my tea everywhere. My mouth drops open and I have no idea what to say or do.

“I’m in the middle of Times Square!” I yell.

Christian gives me a silent nod as I hear the bell of the front door. I know that I should go to the sales floor, but I can’t. My eyes are glued to the screen, and my legs have somehow frozen in place.

“Blair! Christian!” We both hear Anthony who seems to be running towards us. He bursts through the break room door and glances at the mess on the floor. “Oh my God. You’ve seen.”

“I’m in the middle of Times Square!” I exclaim again as my head whirls.

SCARRED

I feel my mouth drop open slightly as I gawk at him. Makes me wonder what he’s talking about and if I can be nosey and pry just for a bit. I just have no idea what to say. I continue to stare with a slightly open mouth as I rock back and forth on my bare feet. I feel a chill run down my spine that makes me shiver and I immediately pull the white robe around me tighter. I watch Eric as he swallows and drags his hand down his face. He looks up at me with a pout.

“I think I’m still trying to figure out why I had the accident. I certainly didn’t plan it. It just…” His voice fades off and he shakes his head. “I should have died that day.”

I give my head a little shake. “It wasn’t your time.”

“Do you really believe that?”

I chew on my lip softly for a second as I think things over and finally give a little nod. “I do. Clearly you weren’t meant to die on that road that day, Eric.”

He moves closer to me, so close that I can feel warmth radiating off his body. Another chill rushes down me and I hug myself tighter. I look up at Eric who is staring intently at me. “What did Lucian do to you?”

“It just didn’t work out.” I shrug. “We tried, he…I just wasn’t right for him.”

“He wasn’t right for you, you mean?” I feel the blast of warm air and smell of peppermint of his breath.

I feel my body give a little shudder as Eric seems to lean a little closer to me. I can hear each breath he takes as he begins to study me again. I keep my eyes forward, a little nervous to look him in the eyes. I stare ahead at his neck and begin counting his heartbeat as I see each pulse throb…one, two, three, four, five….

“I’m just trying to figure you out.”

I giggle. “There’s nothing to figure out.”

“I’m willing to bet that there’s a lot more to you than you let on.” He tells me pushing my hair off my shoulder.

I shake my head. “I really hate to disappoint you. I’m pretty much an open book.”

His lips twist up at the corners. “An open book, huh?”

I take a deep breath in and smell nothing but the sweet peppermint from his mouth. He’s standing incredibly close and I hadn’t noticed him take a step forward.

“If you’re such an open book then why don’t you tell anyone what Lucian did to you?”

My mouth drops. What exactly is he trying to get out of me? The fact that I fell a little too hard and fast for Lucian and ended up having him crush my heart? I’d rather not take a trip down memory lane, thank you very fucking much.

“Elle,” Eric’s voice grows soft as he leans down very slowly.

I look into his eyes. I can’t think. I can’t speak. The smell of peppermint is intoxicating. My surroundings become blurry. I part my lips slowly and I feel my eyes begin to close.

“Eric.” Lucian’s voice makes me gasp and jump back as he walks into the room. “I just wanted to see if you were finished.”

I step away from Eric, slightly shaken up, and a little confused. I cross my arms and take a very deep breath. I release it slowly and count to five to relax myself. Eric turns and gives Lucian a nod as he seems a little distraught himself. “Just finished.”

“I…I should get dressed.” I say, looking at Eric who is running a hand through his hair as Lucian is telling him that he can have the proofs ready in a few hours if needed. Eric gives him a little nod, but his head turns to me.

“Did you have a good shoot, Elle?” I hear Lucian’s voice and even though I understand that he is talking to me I can’t take my eyes off Eric.

Eric smiles. “Did you have a good shoot, Elle?” He repeats, looking back at Lucian who is staring at us both like we’re crazy.

I shake out of the haze of peppermint and Eric’s blue eyes to nod. “It was great. I really hope they like the photos.”

“She was stunning,” Eric adds. “They’ll blow everyone away.”

Lucian raises his eyebrows and cocks his head slightly. “Alright, well…I can’t wait to see them. I bet they’re great.”

“I’m really cold…I’m just going to get dressed.” Eric and Lucian both give me a nod and as I walk away I can feel their eyes on me. I have no clue what just fucking happened. I feel…a little panicked to be quite honest. I nearly kissed Eric. Or…did Eric almost kiss me? I have no idea. My heart is still pounding at the thought. I swear to God…looking in his eyes is just like being charmed by a snake who is about to eat you. Completely unaware of anything around you except him. And that…is terrifying.

RELEASE DAY!! ~ Sordid by Ava Harrison

Title: Sordid
Author: Ava Harrison
Genre: Contemporary Romance

Release Date: February 16, 2018

Sordid is an emotional read that tells the story of Grant and Bridget, two people who hook up once, only find their connection to each other is much realer than they originally thought. Even though I’m not a huge fan of books written in the first person, and I really did have some issues with the immature way some of the characters spoke, but it didn’t take away too much from my overall enjoyment of the book.
I really liked Bridget. A lot. She is what makes Sordid a compelling story, even though I’d argue Grant is the star of this story.  She isn’t a doormat and she isn’t naive. She has goals for her life, plans of how she wants things to turn out despite how she started, and no one–not even the delicious Grant Lancaster–is going to derail her plans. And Grant…boy did he have some issues. And secrets. And he could be kind of a jerk.
But he did have redeeming qualities, and reasons for his behavior. I don’t think they excuse his behavior all the way, but I can forgive it because if we were all perfect, romance would be boring.
So, I give Sordid  a solid 4 cocktail glass review.
My rating:

It was his lips.
The way his stare sent shivers down my spine.
The way his rough voice whispered my name.

So I caved.
I did what I knew I shouldn’t.

But as quickly as he’s there, he’s gone.
Leaving me confused.
Devastated.
I hope I’ll never see him again…

Then I do.

He’s my new boss.
And he has secrets.

When you’ve got nothing left to live for, you’ve got nothing left to lose.

But can Cameron finally let go and risk that last piece of himself? Will honest love be enough?

I staggered onto the street, the chill of the late autumn air creeping into my bones. The yellow glow of speeding vehicles blurred into a long never-ending light.

“I’ll never let you go.”

I rubbed my thumb against the ring on my finger. Today was the day. The day he would have been born. The day our baby …
And then I saw her.
Red hair curling down her back.
A white dress, billowing in the breeze.
She was about ten feet ahead in a group of three. Two other women I didn’t know.
My chest tightened. My throat constricted.
I grabbed at the wall of the building next to me, but my hand couldn’t make purchase. It slammed against the ground, my body weight behind it, but I didn’t feel the sting, didn’t feel the pain.

Bea.

“Wait!” I pushed to my feet, darting between shadows of people, my eyes on the red hair moving so far in front. “Please!”
I ran, my breath coming shorter. Too much whiskey. Too much love—both were the culprits and I didn’t give a damn. Because I didn’t know how, and I didn’t know why, but she was here. My Bea. She’d come back.
My feet pounded against the pavement, my soles slapping on the concrete. People turned to look, but for once, I didn’t care. Let them look. I wanted to laugh, a crazy, maniacal laugh. Let them look all they want.

Bea.

It was her.
I was sure of it.
It was her—
And then she turned around.
And for one glorious second, it was her. The woman I loved.
The woman I saw every time I closed my eyes, and sometimes when they were open, too.
The woman who’d own my heart forever.
“Hey,” she said.
But her voice—it wasn’t right.
I shook my head. No.
“Hey.” She tried again, but her smile was big. Too big.
Bea never smiled like that.
Nausea churned in my gut.
“Aren’t you that guy from the—”
Bile raced up my throat. I doubled over, clutching at my waist, and emptied the contents of my stomach into the gutter. Acid burnt the back of my tongue, and I coughed and spluttered, wiping at my mouth.
It wasn’t Bea.
No matter how many times I thought I’d seen her during the last six months, it was never Bea.
And as I stared at my own vomit, wanting her to be there, needing her to be there, I wished that just once I could pretend she was. That for one night, I could hold her in my arms again, stroke her long, red hair, and tell her everything would be all right.
“You guys go ahead,” the redhead told her friends. She placed a cool hand on my back, bending to my level. “Are you okay?”
“No,” I croaked. “I was s’posed to be a father. Today.” My baby. I would have met my baby today. Our baby.
She gave a smaller smile this time, and damn, she looked like her. “My name’s Giselle.”
“I’m Cam.” I straightened, the world sliding as I overbalanced, then corrected myself. “I have to go …”
“No.” She linked her hand in mine. “Let me take care of you.”
And I shouldn’t have. But I was so tired of fighting, of blocking out the past, that I let her lead me to her hotel room, let her pour me another drink, let her take off my clothes.
We’re so incredibly lucky, babe.” I pressed a kiss to the soft skin of Bea’s neck.

“The luckiest.” She smiled up at me, tossing her hair out of her eyes. “The luckiest people in the world.”

Only, it turned out that we weren’t.
Because seven weeks after that positive pregnancy test, Bea died.
And I’d never let her go after that.

WARNING: This book contains very disturbing content that may be offensive to readers.

“Were you … hurt?”

He sucks in a breath.

There’s a pause which feels like an eternity.

Then he whispers into my ear. “Is that what you want?”

I hold my breath as his tongue dips out to lick the rim of my ear.

“No,” I reply, my voice shaky.

“I don’t believe you … I know you hate me,” he whispers, planting one hand above me on the wall. The other snakes up my arm. “You don’t have to fear me. I won’t hurt you.”

I don’t know if I can believe him.

If he’s really washing out blood … whose is it? Did he get into a fight with someone?

Or is he lying to me?

A soft moan leaves his mouth and he whispers, “It’s hard to resist … So hard.”

Hard to resist … what?

Me?

“Keep pushing me,” he adds.

Is it a threat or an invitation? I can’t tell.

Until he opens his mouth. “I like it.”

What kind of person says that?

After being caught doing … this?

“Who … who are you?” I ask. The question just slipped out of me.

But I can’t stop wondering why he’s cleaning in the middle of the night.

He smiles, his hand moving up my neck … all the way to my cheek, where he caresses me. His fingers leave a slick trail on my skin.

“Don’t ask questions you don’t want to know the answer to…” he says, as his tongue dips out to lick his lips. I can hear him smile. “Like I said … it’s none of your business. Trust me when I say, you’re better off not knowing.”

My lips begin to tremble.

His fingers brush down my chin and then let go.

I feel like he just slid his tongue down my throat.

Like he just groped me.

Tongued me.

And I let him.

Even though none of that really happened.

It just played out in my mind.

And it’s so fucked up, that the moment he lifts his hand off the wall, I bolt.

Sometimes you meet the right one at the wrong time.

*Hulk*
The first time I laid eyes on Sinclair, I knew without a shadow of a doubt that I needed her. Our chemistry is amazing. We are on fire in the sheets… on the bike, the garage, the restaurants, everywhere. I’ve become addicted to her. She became everything to me and I would have done anything for her even if that meant sacrificing my happiness for her. Sinclair wanted more than being a biker’s ol’ lady and she never let us forget it. Her dad is the club’s president and he’s pissed as f*ck that his daughter wants away from the lifestyle and wants me to go with her. I made a vow to the brotherhood and I’m going to see it through.
Leather in, never out.
I pushed her away. I pushed her so far away that I might as well have driven her to college in the next state over myself. I keep telling myself that I did it for a reason. That I did it for her. I sacrificed everything for her to chase her dream.
I just didn’t realize that her dream was to be a porn star.
The love of my life is now a porn star and is back in my life to track down who is trying to kill her family. Can I fight the temptation? Will I be able to get past the idea of her banging all these guys on camera? Can she trust me not to push her away again?
I promised myself to keep her safe. Even if that means from me.
Only time will tell but I made a deal with myself that no matter what, she will be safe even if that means she’s not with me. Even if that means my heart will be broken.

I always think it’s funny when people refer to themselves in third person- “Eden likes this” or “Eden likes that!”

Hi, I’m Eden Rose! I absolutely love criminal justice and history. I’m full of useless information but I’m great at trivia. I’m also a big Marilyn Monroe fan to the point where my wedding was themed 1950’s.

I’ve lived in three countries and a whole bunch of states. Needless to say, I’ve got gipsy blood in me. I grew up in Michigan after my family decided to plant some roots. As a professional new kid in school, I was able to fabricate interesting stories about my previous life and entertain myself with the stories that I came up with.

I’m a big story teller, I love sharing my ideas with everyone and until about two years ago, I just kept it to my immediate circle. One day, Savannah and Vincent popped in my head and didn’t leave me alone. I knew they needed a story. After much deliberation, I decided to publish my story and then the rest was history.

Stay tuned because I have a ton of ideas that are dying to be written down for you to devour and obsess over. My books are full of alpha males and sassy women who give as much as they take. Thank you for all your support and love given to me to help me pursue my dream.
